Kara is a nationally recognized equine sports massage therapist and bodyworker based in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. A graduate of Northwest School of Animal Massage, and licensed through the Washington State Department of Health as a Large Animal Massage Practitioner, her work focuses on performance enhancement and tension release techniques for the equine athlete and pleasure horse. Through massage, range of motion stretches, acupressure, and other manual manipulation modalities, Kara has helped thousands of horses feel their best and perform at the top of their sport, including Grand Prix dressage horses, 5 star event horses, World Champion Reining horses, and FEI jumpers. She is passionate about ensuring every horse is able to perform comfortably, whether it be in the upper levels or simply heading out on the trail.

Prior to her career as an equine sports therapist, Kara worked in international higher education. She loves to blend her passion for equine bodywork, her love for anatomy, and her skills as an educator to bring knowledge and awareness to horse owners. She believes every horse and rider can benefit from equine bodywork and is thrilled to offer Equine Bodywork Online so horse lovers can reap the profound benefits of working on their own horses.
